Circle Adds Privacy Coin Monero to the Circle Invest Platform

Circle Invest, the retail cryptocurrency trading platform of Goldman Sachs-backed Circle, recently announced the listing of privacy coin Monero to its tradeable crypto assets. In the brief announcement, the company shares that Monero will be tradeable immediately.

This new listing quickly follows up last week’s announcement that Circle would now support Zcash trading, a competing privacy coin to Monero.

Last week, we welcomed Zcash to the coin family on Circle Invest. Today, we continue to grow our coin collection by supporting Monero as our new listed crypto asset. This brings our investable crypto assets to a total of 7 coins, making Circle Invest one of the only platforms you can invest instantly and seamlessly in the widest breadth of coins by using your bank account.

Circle is quickly becoming a popular platform for both retail and institutional investors. Circle Trade, the firm’s OTC trading desk, now trades more than $2 billion in crypto each month and recently announced that the minimum ticket size for bitcoin trades will double, from $250,000 to $500,000.

The race for retail investors is on as Abra recently added 5 new altcoins, including NEO and Verge, for a total of 25 tradeable assets and European tech unicorn Revolut now supports Ripple and Bitcoin Cash.
